Diegetic / Non diegetic:

1)Diegetic: 

Sounds that originate from the story world, heard by characters.

2)Non diegetic: 

Sounds that come from outside the story world, not heard by characters.

3)Synchronous:

Sound events that match the timing of the actions in the film.

4)Sound Effects:

Auditory enhancements to convey specific sounds in a scene.

5)Sound Motif:

Audio element associated with a character or event, providing thematic continuity.

6)Sound Bridge / Audio Match Cut:

Transition where the sound from one scene carries into the next.

7)Dialogue:

Verbal communication between characters.

8)Voiceover:

Narration or commentary added in post-production.

9)Mode of Address / Direct Address:

When a character acknowledges the audience, breaking the fourth wall.

10)Sound Mixing:

The process of combining and adjusting different audio elements.

11)Sound Perspective:

Indicates the proximity and direction of sounds in relation to the camera or audience.

Includes songs used in a film.

13)Score:

All the music created for a film, including the background music.
