 ~The 4 key concepts are: 1)Representation 2)Audience 3)Institutions 4)Media language -Representation:  The way that people, places, and products are presented in media. -Audience: Target group/ group of people that a text is aimed at. -Institution: This refers to the people who own and make the media that people enjoy so much  -Media language: This is how the message is communicated to the audience.  ~All media uses these concepts for e.g., a film -Media language: costumes, camera shots/ angles etc. -Audience: everyone who enjoys the genre. -Institution: warner bros, eros, universal pictures, paramount pictures -Representation: actors in the drama genre are extremely talented.

        I'm doing the task of filming on my own, as solo, I think I'll manage to do it better on my own so I can put in my thoughts and ideas into the film I'll be producing, and show different things as my perspective. I'll be doing all the filming, shooting, editing, producing and directing on my own to show my ability and potential as a individual. Hope I'll be able to show my creativity, experience, hard work and love for the subject.

 Hey!! So today our teacher specified us our tasks and what would be expected from us as Media students which includes 2 tasks that we are supposed to do in AS, it follows;  -Firstly “ Foundation portfolio” -  Secondly  “Media texts and -concepts”  So the Foundation portfolio includes the process of research, planning, and production which will be gained through this blog and is of 50% of AS year. And the Media texts and concepts teaches the students about the technical elements of the film. Furthermore there would be an essay writing through watching an extract of a television series, grabbing all the theories and concepts into it and relate the exact to what we have learned, which would be other 50% of the AS year. I have chosen to make a 2-3min film to express my creative side while implementing the concepts and creativity in  the production process of the film.

  Hello! My name is Sadia Shahid and I'm in AS,  a student currently studying at the City School Capital Campus, Islamabad (CCI). I took Media Studies as a subject because I think the subject helps us to put in our ideas and thoughts in a frame of social media, and to express our feelings and emotions into an image without even speaking them out loud. It provides us with entertainment , information and   knowledge, moreover the  subject provides us with opportunities to chose interesting path of careers like filming, directing, advertising, journalism,  etc and equips an individual with necessary skills of reading, writing, thinking, public speaking and much more.
